Wow, I have posted in a while. I guess it's 'bout time to post something

Mid-winter break was this week. Went to Kalahari in Ohio. It's the US's largest indoor water park. I could see that. It was lots of fun. Lots of stairs to climb. I was there for 3 days...Unfortunatly, after posting pictures of the vac. on facebook, people are saying that my lil 6th grade sister is as tall as me. I think she'll be taller than me too....=[ o well.

lauryn and kathy were over monday.

PN2K8 is coming together slowly. We need to decide on a logo soon and colors for the shirt hopefully by the end of the month. Get skits written up. make a promo video. When lauryn was at my place earlier this week, we finished up the body worship motions...yays. anyone that wants to do it that's in SnL should start telling me if they want to do it or not. Music group has a decent list of 'bout 12 songs now. Gotta find guitarists soon. Can't wait! pn2k8 is APRIL 19. @ CBC. Laura's our special guest speaker! =]

Not much to say. I'm doing the 30 hour famine right now. Only hs ppl get to go to occ for the lock-in...

Bonfire and Lock-in

Last night was a BLAST!!

SnL had a bonfire w/ CGC youth group. Cooked hot dogs and roasted marshmallows. CGC played guitar and at least half the people were singing and jumping up and down. I know I was. I don't think I've ever had that much fun singing/worshiping God before. Stayed there 'til 'bout 9 or so and then SnL headed back to CBC for the lock-in. A bunch of the guys left w/ john to go play bball at church early. Evan got his present. It was so funny watching him unwrap the present. I put it in 3 different boxes and wrapped it up in 15 layers for his 15 years. it's even more funny b/c it was a guitar pick, and the boxes got bigger to make the present seem bigger. It wasn't too cold outside and the bonfire was pretty big. David Lo jumped across the pit. Luckly he didn't fall in. Tiffany and Mengmeng were there and it was fun seeing them again. Well I'll see Mengmeng at school 2nd semester. There are a lot of people from cgc that go to novi.....Meng meng, Mark, Evan, Zhelin, Peter, Ricky, and John. and I think i'm missing some people.

At the lock-in counserlors lead a couple messages. When we had time afterwards, everyone was either playing guitar hero, kareoke, hallo 3, or bball. I've never played guitar hero before but got the hang of it easily. I finished making my picture movie of SnL 2007. It was just pictures taken throughout the year up until the toilet bowl event. When it was showed, the music lyrics couldn't really be heard. For those that want to know the songs that were playing, in order, it's Testify to Love, God is Good, Everything That You Ever Wanted, and then Whatever It Takes. I think the background music was just too loud and the sound system wasn't adjusted. Best parts of the picture movie: Buddy, Gary and Sam over board, Phill and Gary's hot sauace at retreat, and johns dog pile w/ no one adding on.

The guys said they slept around 5. Girls slept sometime between 3 and 4. Woke up around 5 to play guitar hero and sing.....I got up w/ Amy and Clare to play guitar hero. It's kinda hard to get a turn to play guitar hero when everyone else is around. There's long sign up, and you get to play 1 song on a sign up. that's why some of the girls woke up early to play. So basically I got 2 hours of sleep. I don't understand why Clare, Amy, Alicia, Carmen, and I got up at 5. Amy and I stayed only stayed playing guitar hero for an hr b/c it got really cold cuz i was wearing sweat pants and a t-shirt. Forgot to put my hoodie on b4 coming down from the SnL room. actually there was no way i would've been able to find it in the dark anyways. My hands were getting so cold, i couldn't strum....When I wasn't playing I was warming up my hands on the top of the projector...lol (okay sounds weird but it helps) Then went back to sleep at 6 and woke up at 7:30.....the snl room was really warm compared to the room w/ the guitar hero.

Made breakfast w/ Connie, Amy, Lauryn and Allison. Scrambled eggs, sausages, and tater tots. Next time, I should bring pan cake batter in.......that'd be lots of fun. Sorry, I'm just not a reall sausage or scrambled eggs fan even though I ate it.

Then everyone hung out, and cleaned up the church too look as if we were never there to begin with. Played Guitar Hero and Kareoke till the parent's picked us up. When I got home, I didn't feel tired. But once I was home alone, and the house was too quiet, I fell asleep for 3 hours until everyone got back. Siblings went to Chinese School w/ mom and dad was installing a new refridgerator in our basement.

 As you can tell, when you have a big family of 6, you would most likely have 2 refridgerators and an icechest in the storage room. Or maybe it's just my family. And my mom buys a bunch of food when it's on sale so it all get piled up. Amazing that we go through 2 galloons of milk in 'bou 10 days i think. and a big bag of rice from costco in 'bout maybe 2-3 months. idk. Parent's have done a time check on how long a big bag of rice lasts my family.

Okay, too long, don't want to reread this for errors. MAIN POINT- IT WAS LOTS OF FUN.

In generally I think I'll have to say that school  is GREAT!

Even though I didn't make the vball team, I did end up becoming the manager for the 8th grade green team. It's fun and i get to scrimmage in the practices. I get to do everything the team gets to do except for playing in a regulation game. Novi 8th grade green team has only lost 2 games this year. but won all tournaments. yay!

Wednesday- Novi green vs. meads mill was okay. 7th grade lost 2 games to them and 8th grade lost 1 game to them. Meads Mill coaches were very happy to beat Novi for the first time in vball in years. But 8th grade still on the tournament. Something I remember from before, 8th grade green was playing white lake, and we were loosing by 6 points. the score was 19-24. It was our serve. Becca brockmen led us all the way to 26-24! awesome!

Yesterday, I got my chair placement in band and I'm now FIRST chair in the flute section. YES my best accomplishment this year.Other than getting all A's on my report card and 1 A-. I'm gonna have to keep it up so that I don't loose the place to someone else that wants it and challenges me to it. But the thing is, I only get a grad party if I score really high gpa. like a 4.0 or really close.......I think that's going to be hard.....But i'm doing fine right now in middle school. So it should be fine. I just have to get all A's in highshool.

Metro Youth Conference was a little while ago. It was a BLAST! We joined to meet together with cgc, snl, and oasis. Lots of fun. Met a lot of cgc people and sang in the cgc band saturday morning. CGC has a really good band w/ a bass, guitar, electric and drums. cool.  SnL should start one. But the thing is, the cgc band actually meets up early to practice. One of the icebreakers was really funny. you are in a circle with a groups of 3. Then you wrap one person up in plastic wrap from shoulders to ankle (using the entire role) and then have one person wrapped up go to the middle and eat a banana. Amy was wrapped up. hahaha.

MEAPS were very boring. This year , I had to take the math, science, and ela meap. The thing that sucks is that you can't bring a book or anything to do if you finish early.....and they give you 2 hours to work on 2 sections each day. Or maybe it's just mrs. osmonson/osmonster that doesn't let you bring stuff in to do, because the u.s history teacher in my team allows it. I guess I don't mind the MEAPS, cuz they're easy, it just takes up too much time....

Volleyball

So volleyball try-outs were 10 days this year instead of 3 like last year. But Guess what?!?!!?! I didn't make it! O wellz
